Justice For Cecil

Like many people, I have felt extreme outrage at the mindless and barbaric killing of Cecil the lion in Zimbabwe.

It emerges that dentist Walter Palmer parted with the princely sum of £35,000 to commit this horrendous act – obviously a man of high financial standing but low morals. He was surely aware of the illegality of what he was doing at the time, and should therefore be made to be accountable, along with those complicit in this appalling activity.

The killing of Cecil may have further consequences than the death of this one lion – his cubs may now be killed by the lion of another pride, now that’s Cecil’s protection has been removed.

If you’d like to add your voice to call for justice for Cecil, then visit and sign the petition.

Farewell To Twitter

After a bit of exasperation (wrongful suspension and dodgy tweets directed at me) I’ve decided to close down my Twitter account.

Of course, this will mean that I will no longer be heading the #OfstedNoConfidence campaign on Twitter, but you can still sign the Ofsted Review petition by visiting here
It’s great news that Ofsted have made some recent changes, including sacking a number of its inspectors in light of ‘inconsistent reports’. Mm, where have I heard that phrase before? Let’s hope that they really do reform the organisation, but to be sure let’s keep signing the petition!

Anyway I’ll keep up with this and my other Blogs and and hope you’ll join me there!
